Who may use it
You must be of legal drinking age where you live. Whisky Whale does not sell alcohol and does not encourage anyone to drink. Please drink responsibly, and never drive after drinking.
Your account
You sign in with your email address. Keep your sign-in links to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.
What you add
- Post only photos you took yourself, of whisky labels and bottles. Leave out people, faces, children, documents, other people's property and anything private.
- You keep ownership of your photos. You give Realizer Labs LLC permission to store them, to show them in the Collection, and to feature them with a link back on the Whisky Whale accounts on X and other social media, without payment, for as long as the find stays on the site. Features show the label and the whisky only, never your name, email address, location or points. You can withdraw this by asking us to remove a find.
- Do not add anything unlawful, offensive, misleading or that infringes anyone's rights. We may remove any find at our discretion.
How it works, and its limits
- A computer reads each label and may get it wrong. You can correct which bottling it is before you save.
- Points, scores and whale levels are a game. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
- Information about distilleries comes from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date. We do not give advice on buying, collecting, investing or drinking.
Fair use
Do not attempt to break the site, overload it, read its data by automated means, fake your location or find, or use it to harass anyone. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
No warranty, and limits on our liability
The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Realizer Labs LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for a free service is nothing. Nothing here limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.
Ending your account
You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account and finds, as the Privacy page explains. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Using the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA.
